The Degree Offered
Robert Gordon University will provide an accelerated honors level
Course in physical therapy, which results in an award of the
University of a BSc (Honors) degree. The Course will be offered over
seven trimesters, each of fifteen weeks duration for a total of 2 and
1/3 years. Thirty-six (36) candidates will be accepted to the program
which commences on January 9, 1996.
Application Procedure
Interviews will take place in October.

Shifrin Healthcare, Inc., 111 Columbia Turnpike, Florham Park, New
Jersey, 07932-2103. A $50.00 non-refundable application fee is
required. Applications are accepted on a rolling admissions basis and
are reviewed as they are received. Applicants should call Shifrin
Healthcare, Inc. to discuss their file and ask for advice.
Overview
Shifrin Healthcare, Inc., is dedicated to providing the opportunity
for the highest quality Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy
education to anyone who meets our qualifying standards for
professional education. Our criteria is based on a scale which either
must meet or exceed U.S. educational institution standards. our hand
picked and contracted educational institutions must be considered
capable of being accredited by the APTA.
Shifrin Healthcare, Inc., will work to assist and guide in the process
of physical therapy training, licensing, and placement for the
individual students who join our Course, so that the student may
concentrate on his/her studies. In addition, we shall obtain and
complete all necessary paperwork for the student with their
cooperation. Our goal is to make the educational process and the
transition from being a student to a licensed physical therapist in
the U.S. as smooth as possible.
In return for our efforts, Shifrin Healthcare, Inc. will ask the
candidate for a work commitment after passing a state license
examination.
Shifrin Healthcare, Inc. charges a modest annual non-refundable fee for
each of the academic years. All fees and currency exchange rates are
subject to change without notice.
The Robert Gordon University
All students enrolled in the Course at Robert Gordon University can be
assured of every assistance form the staff during their stay. Every
student will be assigned a personal tutor with whom they can discuss
any academic difficulties they may have. The University provides
specific services to help students settle into their new environment.

Expenses
Tuition for year one, trimesters 1-3, plus Clinical Placement; which
includes round-trip travel from the University to the clinical setting and
housing at the clinical site for 8 weeks during the first year, plus all
text books for first year, plus NHS health insurance- free to full-time
students.
Total: $18,428*
Financial aid is available, up to $28,000 per year.
*The above does not include University housing, equipment, and Shifrin
Healthcare, Inc., fee.

Health Care Provision
The University Medical Service provides National Health Service Care,
free of charge for those students who wish to register with the
medical practice attached to the University. For more information,
please refer to pages 97 and 101 of the University Prospectus.
Clinical Internships & Curriculum
Throughout the Course students will undertake periods of clinical
practics. These placements are designed to enable the student to
integrate scientific and theoretical knowledge with physical therapy
skills in the therapeutic management of patients.
